









2019 –
The Idea
Growing up, I spent countless summers in Japan which felt like another universe where even the most ordinary things were done with perfection and precision. The department stores in Tokyo felt more like galleries. I remember standing in those beauty aisles, holding bottles that felt like works of art, wishing they were made for skin like mine.
That disconnect stayed with me. It wasn’t until 2019, when I decided to attend Cosmoprof Bologna- the biggest beauty expo in the world. That trip planted the seed for DEAU.


2020 –
Dream Team
By the end of 2019, after speaking with nearly 50 manufacturers across Japan, partnered with Japan’s top skincare lab. With expert chemists dedicated to each product category, each product was treated like its own masterpiece.
Next, I assembled an in-house consulting team of industry experts: a product development expert, a chemist and dermatologist consultant. Their combined expertise shaped every formula with clinical depth.


2021 –
R&D
We started with a blank slate: a dream list of benefits, textures, and ingredients for each product. Then came the raw material deep dive vetting each ingredient down to the source, demanding the highest-quality, most effective ingredients on the market. What followed was hundreds of samples, tweaks, and tests refining each formula until it looked, felt, and performed like a dream product.

2024 –
Packaging
We didn’t just want beautiful packaging, we wanted it to embody quiet luxury: clean, minimal, and designed to reflect the modern spirit of Tokyo—elevated, but never loud.
We challenged ourselves to create packaging that was both beautiful and mindful. We used recyclable materials and eliminated unnecessary components. It was about doing more with less without compromising function or aesthetic. We passed the packaging compatibility test and moved on to production - a dream come true.


2025 –
The Launch
Our products were shipped from Japan to the U.S. and DEAU was no longer just an idea. Five years of meticulous formulation, late-night Zoom calls across time zones, multiple visits to Japan, hundreds of samples, and a global shutdown that nearly halted everything. Yet, we didn’t stop.
What started as a personal longing became a global mission: to create supercharged Japanese skincare that simplifies self-care. This launch is more than a brand moment, it’s the beginning of a new self-care era. One where intelligence leads, inclusivity is built in, and every product dares to do more with less.
