Skincare has never struggled with abundance. Shelves are crowded, routines grow longer, and new launches promise novelty more than necessity. What’s rare is intention — a collection built not to add more, but to mean more.

That was the starting point for DEAU’s first capsule. A question: what if skincare could be designed like a wardrobe? Not endless options, but an edit. Pieces so refined and versatile they replace the clutter.

Behind the Formulas

Our manufacturer is one of Japan’s best — the kind of lab that develops hundreds of formulas every year for major beauty brands. But here’s the part that matters: we didn’t use any of them. No catalog picks. No borrowed bases. Every formula in our capsule was built from scratch.

Each product was handed to its own team of chemists. Their sole job was to make it real. They tested and reworked endlessly adjusting actives like dials, reshaping textures until science and sensation finally aligned. Dozens of versions were discarded along the way. It took longer. It was harder. But the result wasn’t a variation. It was an invention.

Hundreds of Samples, One Vision

Bringing that idea to life meant years of trial and error. Hundreds of lab samples, each tested, adjusted, and tested again. Textures whipped and re-whipped until they melted in like silk. Actives calibrated over and over — enough strength to transform, enough balance to protect.

Every formula was worn, layered, and lived with. Tried in Tokyo summers and Florida heat. Examined not just for what it did on day one, but how it behaved weeks later. What stayed, what glowed, what endured.
